Hi, I'm Francis Wan. I am currently a fourth year student at Simon Fraser University majoring in Computer Science. Outside of programming, I have a passion for video games and Esports.

Executive Hearthstone Director Burnaby, B.C.

Executive Director and competitive player for SFUEA's Hearthstone department responsible for: organizing and hosting Hearthstone events; recruiting and coaching players to play at a collegiate level. Placed second and third place in North American competing respective Tespa collegiate Hearthstone seasons.

Police Story is a group project for a software engineering class using an Agile development lifecycle to create a fully animated 2D-arcade style shooter desktop game made.

Share Chat is a full stack chat application. Share Chat is synchronous between each client and has built in user Authentication using Google log in and FireCloud security.

Fruit Tetris

FruitTetris is a mashup of two games Falling Fruits and Tetris. This project includes a 2D and 3D version of Fruit Tetris with each game having different rule sets regarding gameplay mechanics.

Basic RayTracer made from scratch. Applied sphere and plane intersection; Phong local lighting illumination model; diffuse and specular reflections; recursive raytracing; raycasting and refraction.

Movie Recommendation System

Personal term project for a computational data science class. I created a movie recommendation system by applying an ICBF algorithm (used by Amazon too) and visualized introductory statistical analysis methods. Python Numpy Pandas scikit-learn

Sudoku Solver

This personal project is a Sudoku puzzle solver allowing user to input custom Sudoku puzzles. Built-in control tools allows for easier visualization of the solving process.
